Update | 6.24.21

  • While you can't see changes yet, much work is under way to transform the empty building at M-58 and Foxridge Dr. into the Ray-Pec LEAD Center. LEAD stands for Learning, Experiences, And Discovery.

  • A steering committee has been meeting for months to provide input about the design development for the center, which is planned to open in August 2022. This planning began in spring 2021.

  • One program to be housed at the LEAD Center is Ray-Pec Enterprise & Design, the new program offering for high school juniors and seniors. In fall 2021, Ray-Pec E&D will be located at the Ray-Pec Academy Building. When the new location is ready, the program will be moved to the LEAD Center.

  • Curriculum planning for the Ray-Pec E&D program happened during the summer of 2021.

  • There have been meetings with advisory groups in the areas of heating and cooling (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and automation and robotics. These are other programs the district may offer at the LEAD Center for Ray-Pec students.
